TREC - Tablelands Rural Education Community is the group of 5 Small Schools within an approx. 50km radius in the Southern Tablelands. The schools are Collector Public School, Breadalbane Public School, Tirranna Public School, Windellama Public School and Tarago Public School. These schools have enrolments under 50 students.
TREC join together for sporting, cultural and academic events and excursions. When they are all together there are approx. 130 students.
For sporting events they compete school against school but at District level they join to make a combined small schools team.
Each school, in turn, will host cultural, academic, performing arts or sporting activities throughtout the year.
We have just produced a TREC film to promote our amazing Small Schools.
